    • LaGuardia faculty are experts in their field. Fifty-four percent of our faculty holds PhDs, more than twice that of faculty at most community colleges.

    • LaGuardia graduates transfer to four-year colleges at triple the national rate, and family income increases an average of 17% upon graduation. 

    • We have comprehensive transfer agreements with more than 70 private and public senior colleges, including NYU, St. John's, Columbia, Cornell and CUNY's acclaimed four-year colleges, that enables students to continue their education and write their own futures.
    • Our general education curriculum follows CUNY’s Pathways to Degree Completion structure, which is designed to make it easier for students to transfer from one CUNY institution to another. 

    • The LaGuardia Community College Foundation provides financial assistance to students through scholarships emergency funding, and transportation and textbook aid.

    • Go Red Hawks! Men’s and women’s basketball teams give students a chance to compete in the CUNY Athletic Conference and the NJCAA Division III conference games.
