  • Know My Aid Time Frame

How do I know when my financial aid is complete? Financial Aid does not last forever.

    Federal Aid:
Effective 2012-2013 the maximum timeframe for receiving Pell is 12 semesters, as long as you continue to make satisfactory academic progress each term in the degree program in which you are enrolled.

    State Aid:

According to the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation website: Unless otherwise noted, students can normally receive state grants and scholarships for up to four years of study. Most undergraduate award programs allow students to receive payment for a fifth year of study if enrolled in an approved five-year baccalaureate program or an approved educational opportunity program.
